Private instruction in voice, normally the second semester of study for a music major or minor. This course places a strong emphasis on fundamental vocal technique, including breath management skills, vowel definition, and basic performance skills. Repertoire chosen at the discretion of the studio teacher will consist of approximately 5 - 7 songs, one or two of which may be in the Italian language. 1 credit = one 30-minute weekly lesson with a 30-minute weekly studio class. A jury exam is required at the end of the semester.
